I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to have experienced an artistic residency in Chengdu, a place that allowed me to reconnect with Chinese culture and immerse myself in the rhythms of life, nature, and community. Surrounded by lush landscapes, the delicate harmony of everyday gestures, and the warmth of open, curious people, I felt a profound closeness to a place and a culture that, while distant, felt intimately familiar.

I leave with a sense of pride and fulfillment, having taken a creative risk that resulted in two works—each a testament to my time and place within this experience. Through both pressure and joy, discipline and surprise, I completed the works within the limits of the studio space, yet they contain within them the vastness of possibility.

‘Flower of Life Bamboo Fan’ (95 x 95 x 3 cm) is a healing fan inspired by sacred geometry as a pathway to balance and harmony. The intricate relationship between folded paper and wood creates a form that pulses with equilibrium, inviting a meditative, almost therapeutic presence. This piece embodies a connection to the sacred, offering a resonance that extends beyond the physical.

Both works resonate with the light and energy of Sichuan—shaped by the landscape and the spirit of the place. In each piece, I find the tension of becoming: nothing is static, everything is in flux, constantly transforming and evolving.

These works are not just objects; they are living expressions, born from a dialogue between culture, place, and the intimate process of creation.

我衷心感谢有机会在成都进行艺术驻留，这段经历让我重新连接上中国文化，并沉浸于生命、自然与社区的节奏之中。在郁郁葱葱的自然风光中，被日常行为中的细腻和谐所包围，再加上当地人开放、好奇的热情，我感受到了一种深切的亲近感——对一个虽遥远却又格外熟悉的地方与文化。

我带着自豪和满足离开这片土地，因为我曾冒着创造的风险，创作出两件作品——它们是我此段经历中时空交汇的见证。这两件作品是在工作室有限的空间中完成的，但其中蕴含的却是无限的可能性，通过压力与喜悦、纪律与惊喜的交织最终完成。

《生命之花扇》（95 x 95 x 3 厘米）是一把疗愈之扇，灵感来自神圣几何，将其视为通往平衡与和谐之道。折纸与木材之间精妙的关系形成一种充满平衡感的形态，唤起一种冥想式、几近疗愈的存在。这件作品承载着与神圣的连接，传递出超越物质的共鸣。

这两件作品都传达着四川的光与能量——受到这片土地与精神的形塑。在每一件作品中，我都能感受到“成为”之张力：没有任何事物是静止的，一切都在流动，不断变化与进化。

这些作品不仅仅是物品，它们是活生生的表达，是文化、场域与创作这一亲密过程之间对话所孕育出的产物。

Estic profundament agraïda d’haver pogut gaudir de l’experiència en la residència artística de Txengdu. Estar en contacte, de nou, amb la cultura xinesa, rodejada de natura exuberant, harmonia, de xinesos servicials, familiars, encuriosits pels estrangers, propers i carinyosos. De tenir la oportunitat de conèixer localment la regió de Sichuan, els seus procediments i tècniques artístiques, el seu folclòre i la seva gastronomia. De conèixer i compartir amb d’altres artistes i de tenir un sentiment familiar i de vincle tot i estar molt lluny de casa.

Puc dir, i em sento orgullosa, d’haver pogut arriscar i tenir un resultat exitós en les dues obres que aporto a la residència. He estat present en tot moment, amb la pressió necessària i amb equilibri amb el gaudi, completant l’obra amb el termini d’estança. 

Tal com em vaig proposar he continuat treballant amb les estructures emergents i/ o ventalls curatius.
En el cas dels ventalls curatius he tingut en compte la geometria sagrada per crear peces que creïn harmonia i benestar allà a on estiguin amb la seva sola presència.

En ambdós casos he apreciat el relleu, color i vibració de Sichuan i en funció del que he sentit, la meva creació ha agafat unes formes, volums i tonalitats determinades que defineixen la meva interpretació d’aquest indret del món.

Del devenir en les meves obres, tot s’està fent, res està fixat del tot. Tot es transforma.
